Gentle Readers-WE ARE BEING DUPED !!

Your fearless correspondent, L.E. Fant went undercover to discover the truth regarding Cheddar Cheese.

He found Cheddar Gorge in Somerset where Cheddar Cheese is, and has been, made for many years. There is only one company making cheese in Cheddar--that company is not Kraft.

Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that cheese made in other places may not be genuine Cheddar Cheese. How can there be a "New York Cheddar?"

L.E. Fant tasted the Cheddar Cheese made in Cheddar and found it to be delicious-crumbly, yellowish-but not orange in color, the mature variety a little tangy. It is available for mail order also.

This is actually a very interesting undercover investigation.

It reminds me of an secret undercover investigation which I once conducted on the authenticity of the hamburger.

In Hamburg Germany the hamburgers are very meaty and delicious in a way which one does not find in the States. One may therefore reasonably conclude that we in the States are being duped when we purchase and consume a hamburger which is actually thin and not too delicious.
