POLL RESULT:
Not surprisingly (yet disappointing to L.E.) 60% of those polled indicated they vote party lines regardless. There were 40% who will vote for a candidate who has proven himself one able to make change. That 40% result indicates hope for our and our children's' futures
NEVADA POWER:
On Sunday morning's channel 8 news it was mentioned that Nevada Power (our electric supply monopoly) will reduce prices to consumers in the next months. No reasons were stated by channel 8's hard hitting news reporter. L.E. wonders why, in a time of rising energy prices, Nevada Power is reducing prices. Is it because we (the consumers)have now reimbursed Nevada Power for its apparently poor business judgment when it lost millions to failed Enron contracts? L.E. will investigate and let you know.
GASOLINE PRICES/ HOME PRICES:
Are still rising at an alarming rate here in Las Vegas as home prices still appear to be dropping.
