L.E.'s Las Vegas Dog, New Tantalizing Game, Las Vegas Gas Saver Tips

click on image to enlarge "The Dog" in better days

Today L.E. must take his faithful companion to the veterinarian for diagnosis. She is close to 14 years old and has remained remarkably healthy until now. She is not eating and is vomiting mucus two or more times a day. She has been this way for 3 or 4 days now.

POLL RESULTS:
All of L.E.’s superior respondents report that they eat chicken meat at least once a week. The more “natural” the better of course, birds without hormonal or antibiotic additives are likely better choices when possible. While on the subject of chicken, L.E. partook of chicken at an El Pollo Loco last weekend. He enjoyed the taste of the chicken and found the meal reasonably priced.

CHIPOTLE
Another restaurant which L.E. frequents is the Chipotle Mexican Grill. Many of the meats used are “natural” and all ingredients are of top quality. The burritos are very large and one may be shared between two without one being left hungry.

BISON:

A very low fat meat. http://www.northstarbison.com/

TODAY WE PLAY SPACE INVADERS-DO YOU REMEMBER THIS GAME?
Today’s game is another from the past. L.E. Fant found it very difficult to cease hitting “play again.” See how you do: http://www.freespaceinvaders.org/ The best one according to L.E. He doubts that you can only play one game!! Also: http://www.freegames.ws/games/flashgames/spaceinvaders/spaceinvaders.htm

FUEL ECONOMY TIPS:
One tip which a superior reader brought to L.E.’s attention is that topping off one’s tank early morning is more efficient than topping off later in the day. The theory is that the cooler ground temperatures (where the gas station tanks live) provides for cooler gasoline temperatures which, in turn, mean more dense gasoline. Therefore, one gets a little more product when fuelling up early in the day when ground temperatures are lower.
L.E. wonders whether this premise holds as well since most, if not all, tanks are now double walled and made of a plastic material (which probably insulates the gasoline more than the old steel single wall tanks).
Another tip from the same superior reader is to not fill one’s tank using the “fast” setting of the hose. Apparently this causes fumes to blow back into the hose to be recovered. The fumes are gasoline which you are paying for.
While these tips (remember tire pressures are important as L.E. found) may individually amount to little saving, cumulatively they make a significant saving for us. Of course using one’s vehicle the least possible is the greatest saver. www.automotive.com/gas-prices

QUOTE FROM Today's News: "As gasoline nears $4 a gallon, Congress has questions about Big Oil's big profits." L.E. asks "WHAT THE HECK TOOK THEM SO FREAKIN' LONG!" [Perhaps self interest?]. As L.E. often reminds his superior readers, He believes that both Major parties' government members are merely spokespersons for mega corporations.
